Fifth Weekly Test in Science IV

I.     Define the following mathematically:
1.       Pythagorean Theorem
2.       Cosine Function
3.       Sine Function
4.       Tangent Function
5.       Angle of Direction derived from tangent function

II.     Vector Addition Using the Pythagorean Theorem
1.       A chicken looking for food roams around a farm 6.34 m due North stops for a while and continues 3.89 m in the same direction. Finally, it turns 5.30 m going to the East.
2.       Toto runs 3 m to the East before he releases his paper made plane. The plane flies 11.81 m/s in the same direction as Toto when he ran. The wind blows, the direction of the plane changes going to the North for 5.2 m/s.
3.       The following are the applied forces of a student to his book: 15 N to the right and 8 N away from him.

III.   Vector Resolution.
1.       A side in a park is 630 cm long. It creates an angle with the horizontal of 33 degrees. Find the components in meters.
2.       A ship sails 2036.04 km, 24.5 degrees North of East.
3.       Lannie and Lettie is pulling a cabinet using two ropes at right angle to each other. Their resultant force is 144.32 N which is 33.69 degrees with the x-axis.
Bonus Question:
A wooden table has a weight of 232.96 N. What if the table is moved to the West with the same amount of force as its weight, determine the resultant force.
